In 150 words, relate one or two of the arguments discussed by Professor Newman in the video lectures for weeks 5 and/or 6 to a contemporary cultural, political or scientific event of your choice that happened within the last two years (preferably within the last year). Please explain: 1. what was said in the lecture regarding the texts and contexts of the authors examined and, 2. how it may help us read or analyze this event in a fruitful way. Be specific!
