A lot of information is intended to be communicated to the public via the use of advertisements (Bara et al., 2021). One of the picture advertisements that I have chosen to highlight is for Ecovia, which urges people to “Stop the violence, Drive safe.” I decided to go with this advertisement because it has pictures that are very appealing to the eye, and it also has a clear message that it is trying to convey to the people who are supposed to see it.In general, the primary objective of this image analysis is to demonstrate how an advertisement for Ecovia called “Stop the violence, Drive safe” successfully conveys a message. It encourages its target audience, which consists of middle-aged women, to avoid being slack in observing traffic rules to reduce the number of accidents on the road and improve road safety for themselves, their loved ones, and other road users (MAHSA, 2016).My advertisement choice features a significant amount of creative effort, which is immediately apparent to anybody who takes even a cursory look at it. The first thing to address is that a male is punching a lady, and it is obvious by the hair on his hand that he is the one doing it. The first thing that comes to mind is some physical or verbal assault committed on the lady. The lady seems to be in her middle age and has a worried expression after receiving the hit. The blow’s force, which seems to be a punch, causes her hair to fly all over her head and causes part of her body to tremble. When one takes a second look, one can see that the woman’s face and the man’s fist both have a car painting on them. The one stuck to the man’s fist is a red automobile, while the one stuck to the woman’s face is a blue car. It seems like a head-on accident has occurred between the two vehicles. The important message “STOP THE VIOLENCE, DRIVE SAFE” is written in capital letters below the man’s fist. It reads as follows: “DRIVE SAFE.” The organization’s emblem that is relaying the message appears in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. The backdrop of the picture has a dull gray color. It is possible to conclude, after seeing this advertisement, that an aspect of road safety is being passed on to the audience by demonstrating what may happen if they do not respect the appropriate traffic laws. Ecovia is a firm that specializes in providing vehicles, and van rentals lend credence to this statement. This advertisement is directed against middle-aged women since they are the demographic most likely to break the road laws when transporting their children and other family members to different destinations such as work, school, or shopping. Themselves are cautioned in the advertisement about the dangers that they, their children, other members of their families, and other drivers on the road face due to driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failing to observe proper traffic laws. Ecovia’s campaign is essentially a public statement or an appeal to road users to be extremely cautious and avoid actions that may cause road accidents such as the one depicted in their ad picture. The campaign’s goal is to raise awareness about the importance of road safety (Vividuser, 2016).The public receives the word that they should observe the traffic laws thanks to the inventiveness and tagline used. On a dark gray background, the phrases “Stop the violence” and “Drive Safe” are written in white and blue, respectively, so that they stand out against the background color. It was the first step in the process of encouraging safe driving practices. The advertisement will remind the viewers to share the road with other vehicles and pedestrians. Because of this, motorists have the responsibility to be mindful of their neighbors while they are out on the road.White space and vibrant colors are used in this commercial to persuade viewers to change the way they drive in the future. The red automobile symbolizes danger, whereas the blue car is a symbol of wide spaces and freedom. When women are allowed to drive on public roads, anything may happen if they fail to follow the rules of the road they were taught in driving school. The only visible portion of the man’s body is half of his hand, which symbolizes astonishment. This demonstrates that an accident may come out of nowhere and injure the motorist severely. The goal is to depict a car collision by sketching cars on both the woman’s face and the man’s hands. In conclusion, this image analysis aimed to examine Ecovia: Stop the violence, Drive safe, and interpret its message from its readily obvious and concealed aspects. Using eye-catching imagery, the commercial successfully encourages safe driving. The empathic appeal is accomplished by portraying a woman in her forties. Women who have children or other family members in the backseat may feel the urge to drive while impaired. The two automobiles depicting a head-on collision may be theirs. The ad’s empty or white space depicts the first impression of light or fire created by accident. With this clever and straightforward commercial, Ecovia can deliver its message about safe driving without overloading the audience with words and pictures. The slogan “Drive Safe ” and a blue car on a man’s arm appeared in the advertisement.
