ORDER YOUR PAPER AND GET QUALITY FOR YOUR MONEY

This is what your table should look like this week This table is for demographic variables but yours will be for all variables. Later you will add the final column for the statistical test you will run on the variables. For this week you only complete through the column for descriptive statistics. What is the process for determining validity of a tool? How is a tool evaluated for reliability? These are very important concepts from the chapter this week. If you are using a tool or physiologic measure make sure to include reliability and validity and who owns the tool. Research the instruments they used. Does the article you are basing your replication on discuss reliability and validity of the tools? Can you find other studies that use the measurement tools in your study? Do they mention reliability and validity of the tools? If you were actually doing the study you would need to obtain permission to use the tool. Since you are not doing the actual study you can just state in your paper that you will obtain permission to use. Once you have permission to use you must use the tool exactly as it is presented. You also need permission to change anything about the tool. Any changes to the tool will change the reliability and validity of the tool. Sometimes that is necessary and approved by the original author and new testing for reliability and validity are done after the modified tool is used. IMPORTANT: Please refer to the sample table in the Week 4 module to complete this post. Initial Post 1. How will you measure each variable in your study? 2. Identify the level of measurement for each variable in the study. See the tables in Example Proposal 1. Create a similar table for the primary variables in your study. There is an example table in Week 4 3. Discuss any instruments you will use to measure variables. Include a discussion about reliability, validity, how the instrument is scored. Remember if you were to conduct a real study, you would need permission from the author to use their instrument. Are you able to find contact information to obtain that permission (don’t contact the author since you are not doing the study)? 4. Will you use any physiologic measures? What do you know about accuracy, precision, sensitivity, selectivity, or error rate for that instrument? 5. What copies of data-collection instruments or spreadsheets will you include with your proposal? See the example in the Chapter 28 Proposal Appendix C data-collection form. • Due Wednesday by 08:59 p.m. ET • Answer all instructor-generated posts or questions • Integrate scholarly works beyond those listed in the assigned reading • Demonstrate higher-order thinking in instructor-initiated post. Examples of posts that demonstrate higher-order thinking include posts that apply, analyze, synthesize, evaluate, examine, pose, or connect course concepts to nursing practice
