1. Customer Relationship Management 
    
   Choose a water park or other vacation destination. Create a hypothetical marketing campaign that uses what you’ve learned about the CRM approach. Describe how you might apply insights about developing long-lasting relationships with customers to retain or reactivate past visitors. You must use the text and at least one additional scholarly source. 

   Demographics and Trends  
    
   Read “Why Marketers Need To Stop Following Trends And Start Advancing Movements“. Local businesses and organizations transitioning to global markets might concern themselves with many conditions occurring in host foreign countries, including trend. The author identified three strategies that marketers should implement in regards to trend.

• What are the three ideas?
• Provide an example of a trendy condition in a local or global arena and how you would implement these strategies in a local or global trendy condition.
• Is the author right to take this approach?

Expand upon the entrepreneur interview on the attachment and write a reflection paper The purpose of this paper is to take the information from the interview and reflect upon the challenges and rewards of being an entrepreneur.

Guidelines

• The paper must be 4 – 5 pages in length.
• You must follow APA formatting.
• Include a table of contents.
• Even though this is not a scientific-type writing assignment and is mostly creative in nature, references are still very important. You must reference your interviewee. Be sure to look up how to cite an interview in APA style.       

• Best Practices

  • Cover Page: Include who you prepared the paper for, who prepared it, and the date.
  • Table of Contents: List the main ideas and section of your paper and the pages where they are located. The illustrations should be included separately.
  • Introduction: Use a header on your paper. It will indicate that you are introducing your paper.

  The purpose of an introduction or opening is to

  • introduce the subject and why the subject is important;
  • preview the main ideas and the order in which they will be covered; and
  • establish the tone of the document.

  Include in the introduction a reason for the audience to read the paper. Also, include an overview of what you are going to cover in your paper and the importance of the material. (This should include or introduce the questions you are asked to answer on each assignment.)

  • Body of Your Report: Use a header titled with the name of your project (e.g., “The Development of Hotel X – A World Class Resort”). Then proceed to break out the main ideas: state the main ideas, state major points in each idea, and provide evidence. Break out each main idea you will use in the body of your paper. Show some type of division such as separate sections that are labeled, separate group of paragraphs, or headers. You would include the information you found during your research and investigation.
  • Summary and Conclusion: Summarizing is similar to paraphrasing, but summarizing presents the gist of the material in fewer words than the original. An effective summary identifies the main ideas and major support points from the body of your report; minor details are left out. Summarize the benefits of the ideas and how they affect the tourism industry.

In your role as a highly paid consultant, you are given a list of potential threats to and vulnerabilities of the current communication security protocols of an organization. You are asked to provide quantitative data to measure the likelihood that any of these threats will actually occur for the information assets of the client. Conduct research and describe resources you found that might provide insight into measuring the likelihood that some of the threats would actually occur. In the explanation, include whether you see a trend in resources that might indicate a specific industry is particularly involved in gathering this kind of data. Additionally, evaluate which communication security protocols are more effective and provide an explanation.

List of Possible Threats/Vulnerabilities

• Spoofingis attempting to gain access to a system by using a false identity. This can be accomplished using stolen user credentials or a false IP address. After the attacker successfully gains access as a legitimate user or host, elevation of privileges or abuse using authorization can begin.

• Tamperingis the unauthorized modification of data, for example, as it flows over a network between two computers.

• Repudiationis the ability of users (legitimate or otherwise) to deny that they performed specific actions or transactions. Without adequate auditing, repudiation attacks are difficult to prove.

• Information disclosureis the unwanted exposure of private data. For example, a user views the contents of a table or file he or she is not authorized to open, or monitors data passed in plaintext over a network. Some examples of information disclosure vulnerabilities include the use of hidden form fields, comments embedded in webpages that contain database connection strings and connection details, and weak exception handling that can lead to internal system-level details being revealed to the client. Any of this information can be very useful to the attacker.

• Denial of serviceis the process of making a system or application unavailable. For example, a denial of service attack might be accomplished by bombarding a server with requests to consume all available system resources or by passing it malformed input data that can crash an application process.

Elevation of privilegeoccurs when a user with limited privileges assumes the identity of a privileged user to gain privileged access to an application. For example, an attacker with limited privileges might elevate his or her privilege level to compromise and take control of a highly privileged and trusted process or account

China and India have demonstrated trends toward Western-style consumption over the last decade. Given the emphasis on the youth market in the US over the last 60 years (since the baby boom), what can you suggest for marketers in these youth-oriented consumer economies (China and India)?

• Describe the products (goods and services) that interest these youth markets. 
• Compare and contrast the micro- and macro-environmental forces that can influence the marketing strategies for these products (goods and services). 
• Analyze the marketing strategies of these two countries and compare them with Western-based consumption marketers (e.g., US).

This assignment is designed to assess your critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. Your paper will be graded for its clarity, relevance, coherence, logic, and depth. 

Your paper must be two to three pages in length (not including a cover page and reference page), and be formatted in APA style. Your paper must demonstrate that you understand international influence and micro-environmental and macro-environmental influences on marketing strategy. You must use your text and at least two additional scholarly sources. 

In groups of ten students that will be randomly assigned by the Blackboard system, create individual blog entries that address the relationship between media and the Summer of Love. Each student must post at least two entries for this project: the first, which must be at least 250 words, should be based on one or more of the following questions; and the second, which must be approximately 50 words, should respond to the main entry of at least one other student in the group. Option A: Identify what you believe are the top three challenges in setting up a hospital-based committee from a managerial perspective.  In a 250- to 300-word post, discuss your rationale and address the following questions:

1. Why are committees advantageous for health care organizations?
   
2. What are some of the steps that you as a manager, could take to overcome these challenges?
   
3. How would you address conflict and/or divisiveness within the committee or team?

Option B : Committees have been determined as a necessary component to health care organizations.  As a manager, you have been tasked to set up a committee with one of the hospital departments.  In doing so, consider the following questions:  

1. How much influence should the committee have in the overall management structure?
   
2. How would you maintain authority without adopting an autocratic leadership style?
   
3. How would you set up an employee team without violating union and labors laws?

The success of an organization depends heavily on its structure, strategies, and culture. In this assignment, you will develop an understanding of the importance of these elements in the success/failure of an enterprise.

This assignment is the first of the two LASA assignments you will complete in this course.

Using the Argosy University online library resources and the Internet, research methods of conducting internal and external environment analyses. Select at least three (3) scholarly sources to support the information in your report.

Description of LASA:

In this assignment, you will assess an organization’s current position in the internal and external environment.

Scenario:

You have been hired as a consultant to evaluate the performance of a manufacturing or service organization. As part of your function, you need to assess the organization’s current position with regard to their business operations, strategy, and organizational structure, as well as identify potential ethical issues management may face. The executive management team has asked you to submit a report of your findings.

Instructions:

Choose a publicly traded manufacturing or service organization to be the subject of your work for LASA 1 and LASA 2. (You should choose a different organization than you have used for previous assignments.) Select an organization about which there is an abundance of information made readily available to the public (via the corporate website, industry publications, business journals, etc.).

In preparation for your report, conduct your review of the organization using the following approach:

• Evaluate the company’s business strategy and global competitiveness plan.
• Conduct an internal assessment using SWOT analysis.
• Assess the external environment via an external scenario evaluation.
• Sketch the company’s organizational structure.
• Using the tools of business process design, define the organization’s business process.
• Identify any potential ethical issues that may impact the traditional management functions of the company and recommend preventative measures.

Utilize at least three sources in your research. Your document should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Write an 8–10-page report in Word format. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M3_A2.doc.
