the abstract should clearly state clearly state:-The public health topic of interest-What gap in knowledge you’d like to address OR your central thesis statement/argument in terms of discrimination, inequity or oppression-A brief conceptual justification of your problem statement or thesis statement. Since no external literature review is required for this assignment, the justification should be conceptual. Examples of how this may be done include: explaining why it is a neglected topic; arguing that past approaches have fallen short; explaining why a conceptual extension of current work would be important. An ideal abstract would be an introduction to the subsequent literature review assignment.  The abstract should include a clear statement of the goal or purpose of the intended project and make explicit statements about the topic of interview, either as a gap in current literature or as an argument that would benefit from critical analysis of the topic at hand.
