1) Read the chapters on An Introduction to Sociology, Sociological Research and Culture in the required text.

2) Chose and historical figure from this (Links to an external site.) list and read about their life.

3) Pick a date that is commensurate with your person from here (Links to an external site.) and read an article (not about your historical figure) , identify the cultural elements that were influential at the time (Select at least 8 of the terms from the chapter on Culture).

3) Create unique instances of at least 10 Survey Questions (make sure to read Sociological Research in the required text )would help a sociologist understand the sociocultural conditions at the time that might have affected the individual’s behavior.

4) Use one of the three sociological paradigms (make sure to read Section 1.3 in the required text) to analyze the social conditions at the time and discuss how those conditions might have helped shape the actions of your historical figure.
