The content of your presentation should contain three basic parts: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Use your Module 1 readings to help you create a compelling introduction and conclusion. The body of your presentation should share who you are with the class. Provide details on your educational background and/or career as well as your hobbies and interests.
A few key points to remember:
- Keep it simple, but plan how to cover each part.
- Don’t write out what you will say word for word. Use a speaking outline!
- Keep your video to less than 3 minutes.
- In your video, do NOT begin with “Hello, my name is…” We’ll know your name by looking at the discussion forum.
- Instead, think of a novel way to begin – some kind of phrase that signals something important to you might work, showing us something unique that relates to an interest you have, perhaps a question to engage our interest, or anything sincere and expressive of what you want us to know about you.
