After the success of the new pay for performance philosophy, you have been asked to create an employee recognition program to provide managers with resources to recognize outstanding behaviors.  Due to recent budget cuts, there is less than $5k available to design the program; therefore, you will need to be creative when developing a program.  

  1. Please define employee recognition programs, and share any experience you may have had with employee recognition programs.  
  2. What are some low-cost programs you can implement? 
  3. Describe criteria managers should consider when recognizing employees.
