DPU Feminism as A Political Project Aimed at Achieving Women Equality with Men Essay

This assignment is meant to help you to bring the thinkers we have read this quarter into conversation with one another. Pick two of the thinkers covered in our course, and write a 5-7 page essay comparing their views on one of the questions listed below. You might focus on a way in which these thinkers converge and/or how they break from one another on the topic being discussed. In other words, consider either how your thinkers build on one another, or how they might critique each other’s stances on one of the following questions:

  • 1. To what extent is feminism a political project aimed at achieving women’s equality with men? What are the benefits or risks of defining feminism in this way?

Requirements

  • -An introductory paragraph both introducing your topic and mapping out the main steps of the argument you intend to make.
-A clear thesis statement at the end of your introduction (which clearly addresses one of the prompts above).
-Body paragraphs that remain on topic, supporting the core argument laid out by your thesis statement.
-The use of relevant, reasonably lengthed, and properly cited quotes from our readings to defend your claims, followed by your analysis of the passages used.
-A clear conclusion, summing up what you have achieved over the course of the paper.
