I have RR+R ASSIGMENT

Read in NFG: GRANT PENROD, “Anti-Intellectualism: Why We Hate the Smart Kids,”p. 754, and STEPHEN L. CARTER, “Just Be Nice,” PDF on Blackboard only, in the Essay PDFs folder under Basic Information.

Post RR+R 3 here.  Follow the standard guidelines for a Reader’s Response + Research (RR+R).  Remember to use in-text citations and include a Works Cited page.
Use current research to support or counter the author’s argument in one of these two essays.  Remember to use strong signal phrases, provide author/ity, and integrate your quotes.  P.I.E.!

For the Stephen L. Carter essay citation, use the following, with smart quotes and a hanging indent:

Carter, Stephen L.  “Just Be Nice.” ENGL 130, Blackboard. Date you accessed it. PDF file.

For in-text citations, list Carter’s name and/or page number:

(Carter 3)

If you need other options for other classes/assignments for Blackboard material citations, here is a great link:

This is your only chance; no revisions will be accepted.

This must be completed by midnight today.  It will close at 11:59 p.m.  I will not accept work sent to my email or typed/brought to class.  It’s Tuesday or never.  You will be marked absent.

To submit:  attach your Microsoft Word document right here in Blackboard.  Make sure that it has a proper heading:  Your name, my name, class/section, RR+R3 (for the assignment name), and the day you submit it.  For the title: see the example in the RR+R requirements, (Author’s Name, “Title,” Date due).
