(a) Identify the topic you believe you will pursue. (b) What is one unsettled question that you have about the topic, which you would like to work out about the issue? Your question should be specific enough to allow for more than one possible answer. It should allow for argumentation.

Choose one line or paragraph from one of those readings that relates to what you wrote in (1) above. Explain why it is related to your topic. Make sure you identify the location of the line or paragraph that you relate to your topic.
Looking back at your answers to (1) and (2), what is your hypothesis as to the conclusion you are likely to draw, about your topic? What do you believe that you will contend, and argue for, in your final project?
