Please be considerate in writing feedback. Remember that we are all sensitive beings (we writers), and just continue to be nice when you prepare your feedback.
First, find some things that work well in the piece, and begin your feedback with something positive, before making critical remarks. And, while it is fine to ‘critique,’ please do so in a considerate way. For example, there is a nice way to critique something, and a less-nice way. Rather than write, “I don’t like your dialog,” maybe write, “I wonder if your dialog would be more effective if…” Again, we are all sensitive when it comes to our writing, and we want to be considerate of our classmate’s feelings when discussing their work.
