Requirements
You are continuing to prepare for the upcoming global health conference where you will present a poster presentation. In the first part of your project, you chose a significant global health issue as your focus and researched the incidence, prevalence and implications. In the second part of your project, you discussed how determinants of health impact your issue. For the final part of your project, you will research strategies to control the global health issue, and put everything together in a poster presentation.
There is a PowerPoint link embedded within your assignment page. Please feel free to use this. Alternatively you can use sites like Canva. You can also Google Research or Scientific poster template and use one of those. For a poster your minimum font size is 26. I will be checking for this. Points will be deducted under APA for smaller font use. The template in the example has references on the poster page. In an effort to give you as much room as possible. Please put the reference page on a separate sheet.

- Significance of the issue
- Incidence, prevalence, & implications of the issue Go back and re-read in Module 2 and/or Google what these terms mean. I gave back 10% because the class did not do well in this area in the Module 2 assignment. For the final project, I will expect this data to be there.
- Impact of determinants of health on the global health issue: Please remember. The determinant of health must be the thing that actually causes the impact. It should not require a person, persons, organization or corporate entity to assist with this. This section does not involve strategy. You must complete the assignment as indicated in the rubric to earn the alotted points.
- Strategies to address the issue, including each of the following:
- Efforts to control, eliminate, and eradicate the disease/issue
- Approaches to reduce a health disparity
- Interventions to improve healthcare access
- Use in-text citations
- References can be on a separate page.
This assignment is the combination and the culmination of three specific assignments. However, throughout this term, you have completed most aspects of the poster. I urge you to:
- Review your previous assignments with my feedback and correct any issues.
- Review the directions/rubric from the previous assignments. If there are any terms you do not understand please ask me, or look them up using Google or Dictionary.com. Your successful completion depends on you having a clear understanding of the terms embedded in these assignments.
- Even though you are allowed to use bullets you must support your topic and statements in every section. This is where that succinct writing comes in. Every word counts. There is no room for extra.
- Make sure there is enough contrast so that the writing is easily legible.
