Collaborative partnerships, clinical prevention, information systems, and interdisciplinary methodologies to promote equitable population health outcomes will be explored. Students will reflect on their personal strengths and consider implementation strategies to address population health needs in their DNP scholarly project.Course Credit: 3 credit hoursClass Time: Primarily asynchronous. Any scheduled live web meetings will be recorded for those who cannot attend in real-time.Prerequisites: NURS 6301, NURS 6312, NURS 6315, NURS 6326Course Learning ObjectivesUpon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:1. Understand healthcare systems’ role in the management of the population (AACN 3.1)2. Describe how DNP-prepared nurses can engage in effective partnerships with various health delivery, advocacy, and assistance programs to promote the health of the population (AACN, 3.2)3. Consider the socio-economic impact of the delivery of healthcare when planning an evidence-based project (AACN, 3.3)4. Assess the impact of current federal, state, regional, local, and organizational policies on health disparities and inequities within the population (AACN, 3.4)5.
