Paper on Narrative Sequence in the book “Getting Home Alive” By Aurora and Rosario Morales

The sequence and order of the chapters in the Morales & Morales book are not chronological. In addition, the entries by the mother and by the daughter are not necessarily consecutive or complementary in topic or narrative approach. The times covered in the overall story do not coincide in any linear way with the “felt time” of the individual chapters.

Task: Explore at least three examples of the use of sequence in the book (SEE ATTACHED), the effect that this usage has on the meaning you make of the story being told, and what different meaning you might make were the sequence in each instance chronological.

PAPER MUST BE 5-8 PAGES AND IN MLA FORMAT.

YOU MAY USE ATTACHED SAMPLE PAPER AS INSPIRATION ONLY.

*COVER PAGE IS NOT NECESSARY*
