In this project, students are required to use some reading materials from this course (see the reading materials here) as sources to draw some theories, philosophies, practices, and cultural issues as evidence or examples. (I will provide you a decent number of model essays in Eli)When students write this paper, they will focus on the following elements:What is the purpose of the essay?Who are the targeted audience/readers? Your writing style depends upon your audiences.Who is the writer (writer’s situated cultural identity–state where you are from, what you know about the subject/topic, and also share your lived experiences from your own culture)What is the subject or issue? How and why do you want to address it?What is the context?What is the situation?Requirements:12 point fontArial/Calibri1 inch marginsDouble-spaced6-8 pagesSources–6+APA/MLA citation format; check your in-text citations and “works cited” or “reference” sectionWriting and Peer Review Process/es:Read the project guidelines and model essays well.
