This semester, you will have a total of 10 discussion assignments. There are 2 parts to these assignments, the initial post and the response to a classmate. Your answer to the question(s) is your initial posting. In addition, you will also need to respond to at least one of your classmates’ postings (response to a classmate). You are expected to use sources to assist you in answering the discussion topics. All sources must be cited using APA style.Additionally, you are not permitted to use Wikipedia as a source of information. Initial postings are due on a Wednesday and responses to your classmate’s postings are due on a Sunday. Please see discussion board due dates for more details. All discussion assignments will open the Wednesday the previous discussion assignment is due.
Direct quotes are not permitted for these assignments. Your postings should not contain any direct quotations (word for word text) even if you site the source and put it in quotes. You will need to paraphrase the information (putting it completely into your own words) and cite the source. Changing a couple of words is not paraphrasing. All discussion posts are subject to review for plagiarism. Plagiarized posts will receive a grade of 0.
