First, read this article: https://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/02/opinion/why-our-memory-fails-us.html?_r=1 (Links to an external site.)

then watch this video:

and read this article: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/02/27/why-facts-dont-change-our-minds (Links to an external site.)

Then please answer the following questions:

1) After reading the first article and watching the first two short videos, do you feel that certain situations or certain types of memories may be more-or-less likely to be remembered incorrectly? If so, what about them would make that happen (and if not, explain why you feel all memories are created equal in terms of how easily they are altered or forgotten). Do you feel that memories errors are readily understood by the general population, or, do you feel that people assume memories are more accurate than they really are (and thus assume something negative about the person when a memory error is exposed)? Explain why you feel this way.

2) From the video on IQ, do you feel Flynn makes a good argument that IQ is increasing, or do you feel there may be flaws in his argument? Explain (with examples from the video as well as other resources) why you feel this way.

3) From the last article, what was most surprising to you and why? Explain why it was surprising, or, why what you have learned thus far made the article less surprising to you.

make sure use sources from the videos and chapters.
