Description of the learning activity that integrates social studies and the arts (100-150 words): The lesson will start with the students learning the meaning of a landmark. To ensure that they have understood the meaning effectively, I will provide some real-life examples of landmarks in addition to drawing a variety of landmarks on the board. Besides that, I will also employ visual aids by showing the students images containing different landmarks they can observe and familiarize themselves with. After this exercise, I will ask them to identify different landmarks in the classroom before taking them outside the class for active interaction with important landmarks within the school compound. Back in class, I will ask the students to write down the different landmarks they know including those we will have seen within the school compound. |
