The short issue paper will be judged based on engagement with the topic, question or idea presented, use of evidence, and effectiveness of writing. You will need to develop a thesis or a question you wish to address and utilize specific evidence drawing on researched sources to support your points. You should identify a specific issue related to media and law that you find compelling, provoking, or problematic, and analyze both the events surrounding that issue as well as drawing on research sources that you locate around this issue. This assignment requires outside research with scholarly sources, preferably peer-reviewed journals. The paper should be at least 3 double-spaced.
