Timing of PubertyWe all go through puberty, but how does the timing of puberty affect the psychological adjustment of boys and girls differently? Hypothetically, if you had a teen (boy or girl) who experienced puberty early, what could you (as a parent) do to support your child?a short paragraph about it__________________________Puberty can be a difficult time for both boys and girls. It affects the psychological adjustment for girls by causing them to mature and be more self aware and for boys by causing them to grow faster and become stronger. It can be a stressful, awkward time for them. If I had a teen who experienced puberty early, I would have open communication with them on what the changes happening to their body are, what they mean, and how they can adjust with them. I would also be open to answering any questions that they might have and be there to support and listen to them.two or more sentences replying tho this___________________________________Puberty is a drastic time in boys and girls lives that lead them to adulthood. With puberty comes physical changes, emotional swings, and adjusting. Girls turn into young women, seeing external differences, as well as experiencing hormonal changes. Puberty is a time when many young girls can start to develop eating disorders from ‘feeling abnormal’ to their peers and shaming their bodies. Boys experience similar symptoms of physical changes and hormonal changes. Boys become stronger, taller, and develop a larger frame. If I were a parent of a young child who was experiencing puberty early, I would sit my child down and talk with them on what they need to expect and that I am there for them every step of the way.
