You will be exploring several sites where public versus private information may be an issue. The first site is Zillow (http://www.zillow.com/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) where you may enter any house address and often find a picture, market value and specific real estate details of the house. The second is Google Maps (http://www.google.com (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) where you can find an address with satellite image detail and track people based on their cell phone location. The third site is Craig’s List (http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) a massive personal/professional ad site. Check out the type of information that is available. Try locating your own house, or a friend or family members house in Zillow and Google maps. Then go to Craig’s List and see the variety of topics that are posted on the site.

Create a summary of what you discovered. What would be the benefit to you or a business of using one of these sites? What potential problems would you see in using one of these sites or services?

As before, use a word processor to write up your findings. This will make it easy to create, review, edit and check your work over several days if needed. You are expected to write at least 1/2 page, single spaced. Most posts that get full credit are more like 3/4 page but that depends a lot on your writing skills. Spelling and grammar count, so be sure to proofread!
