For this literature review, you will take the research question you developed in the exploratory essay as a starting place, and you will use it to help you identify academic articles, book chapters, books, webpages, etc. that you can use to help you better understand the topic at hand, as well as how you might begin to answer your question. The literature review should include the following:
- 6 academic sources, (including the sources you found for the exploratory essay – so 3-4 new sources total) with some important limitations:
- No more than one blog/vlog/webpage associated with an academic scholar or university (.edu, .co.uk, etc.)
- Do not include references to Wikipedia (or specific fan wikis), news articles, primary texts such as TV shows, movies, etc. These are helpful in developing an argument, but they are not appropriate for a literature review, which is focused entirely on the academic debate to date.
