Urban, suburban, and rural communities will encounter different challenges in the implementation of consumer eHealth technologies, just as these different types of communities have experienced different levels of general eHealth adoption. Provide your opinions, validated by references, regarding the challenges unique to each setting, and identify one patient population in each environment you believe can benefit the most from consumer eHealth technologies.

How can consumer eHealth change the way healthcare has traditionally been delivered in rural communities throughout the United States? Consider physical access to care, availability of transportation, weather constraints, and limited healthcare resources such as home care and provider shortages.
