We’re looking at the crisis/ordeal as a pivotal moment in all stories. Now, I hope that you’ve all started thinking about your final assignment (5-page “treatment” for a short film/webisode), BUT if you haven’t, this is your opportunity, because I want you to delve into the relationship between the shadow and the crisis/ordeal this week by answering the following questions in terms of your final assignment. If you haven’t decided on your story yet, use this as your opportunity to start making some decisions:1) What is your hero’s shadow?2) How does the hero confront it during the ordeal?3) How does the ordeal transform the hero?4) How does your audience know the hero is transformed?(Think carefully, take your time, and, if necessary, do a little review of the shadow archetype. Keep your answer brief and succinct. More words can muddy your ideas. Aim for clarity!)
