In2018, I earned my masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova.Working in a clinical setting and treating clients since 2017, I realized thatI had a lack of knowledge of the biological and physiological aspects of the individual.I believe that in order to adequately help an individual, you must treat thewhole person. This includes both psychological and biological aspects. For thatreason, I embarked on this journey to become a Psychiatric Mental Health NursePractitioner. In 5 years, I should be completing my MSN degree in PsychiatricMental Health Nursing.I am HIspanic and 1st generation. My parents did not attend college.My father died from Parkinson’s disease when I was 16.My mother was a single mother and I began working at the age of 16 to assist her in paying thr bills.I don’t have enough financial aid to cover the program and I am paying out of pocket.
