Assignment 1- Team WorkPublic Art is art created to enhance the quality and aesthetics of public spaces. In this activity, you and your partner will work as a team to create a map of the public art in your community.To complete this assignment you must:Contact your partner and agree on how to complete this assignment. This team project does not require meeting or working in person with your partner.If it is possible and always considering the rules of social distancing, take a camera or your phone and shoot some pictures of public art in your community; they could be at the local city hall, court house, fire or police station, library, parks, streets, schools, etc. If not possible, research on-line for public art on your community (not on other cities). Keep on mind that some of the information needed to complete this project such as dedication year, materials and author may be easier to get directly from the art’s label or plate rather than the Internet.Make sure that the art selected is for public and not private use.You and your partner need to compile at least a total number of 3 pictures for 3D work and may one for 2D like a mural.Each picture needs to be appropriately labeled with the name of the artwork, artist of dedication, year (if it is known) and the place in which it is displayed.Using an image from the Internet of a map of your community or city, use small versions of your photos, or thumbnail pics to show graphically where that art is placed.You can organize the images in a Power Point presentation and save as PDF file.Submit your assignment as a PDF file on My Blackboard. Only 1 submission is necessary from either of the team members.I must do this assignment without a partner. For On-Line art research I live in Alvin, Texas. I am not sure how many slides this will take I estimate 6-10. ANY PUBLIC ART IN ALVIN TEXAS WILL BE OKAY WITH ME.
