socially anxious individuals” Reduction in state anticipatory anxiety

were expected to correlate with increase in rHRV.Although rHrv was not

colrrelated with State Anticipatory Anxiety. For that reason in my paper

I want to examine HRN in anticipation period instead of rHRV.

highlight the apparent gap in the literature that will be addressed by

your research (approximately 250 words).

Part two: prior research – provide a comprehensible literature overview

of the research field, describing what we know so far and how we know

it. Finish this section with a concluding part that addresses the

question you started with in part one (approximately 1000-1500 words).

Software Introduction week 10: Software Engineering Story

The goal of this assignment is to have you apply the knowledge you learned in this course to a different context, namely, fiction writing. This is a great practice in taking classroom knowledge into different situations. In addition, this kind of writing activity has been known to help solidify long-term learning.

Write a short story (fiction or non-fiction), of roughly 2-4 pages single spaced, 12-pt. font, that embodies one or more software engineering concepts/phenomena taught in this class.

The requirements of this assignment are somewhat flexible, but in order to receive a grade on this assignment, your submission must, at least:

1. Read more like an original story (not an essay or news article or blog or similar), whether fiction or non-fiction.

2. Embody one or more software engineering concepts/phenomena taught in this class. You are allowed to refer to software-failures that ‘made news’, but not simply repeat that story.

3. Be original and not plagiarized (submissions will be run through turnitin.com).

write an essay around 2000 words using feminist critical approach to analyze Margret Atwood’s novel, the Handmaid’s tale. Must read the novel, i will offer higher price because the professor is strict and I will also request for refund if the work is bad

Length: 5-6 pages (1650-2000 words)

Write a research essay analyzing Margaret Atwood’s novel, The Handmaid’s Tale, paying special attention to symbolism, character development, and theme.

Use one of the following critical approaches to guide your discussion

Use Feminist Criticism, A17-A19 (I will upload pictures of the pages)

Before beginning, read “The Literature Research Essay” (1951-1961); “Quotation, Citation, and Documentation” (1962-1991); and the sample research paper (1992-2001)

Requirements

  • In your introductory paragraph, state a clear thesis using the template we’ve discussed in class: By showing us [this specific element of the narrative], The Handmaid’s Tale urges us to consider [this particular theme]. (See pp. 1921 for more on thesis statements and pp. 429-433 for assistance with identifying themes).
  • In your essay’s body:
    • Use specifics (e.g., characters’ names and in-depth analysis of the novel’s events) to illustrate your main points and support your central argument (thesis).
    • Quote and/or paraphrase from at least three pieces of literary criticism from SMC’s library databases. (SMC’s literature database should be your first option. Academic Search Premier or JSTOR could prove useful as well.)
    • Identify your sources with proper MLA parenthetical citation.
    • Identify quotes from the novel using page numbers.
  • Use your concluding paragraph to summarize your main points and restate your thesis.
  • Finally, include a works cited page to list the sources you have quoted. Use Easybib.com for assistance in compiling your works cited page.

Note that you should utilize very little, if any, plot summary. Assume your audience is familiar with the events and characters in the narrative.

For additional guidelines, consult “The Writing Process” (1938-1950). We will discuss this process in class with special emphasis on elements about which you have questions.

We will discuss how to generate topics, and formulate questions and thesis statements as we examine the novel as a class. As a starting point, consider these prompts as you read:

  • Discuss the ways in which Atwood treats sexuality and fertility in The Handmaid’s Tale.
  • Atwood’s novel depicts a dystopia. To what extent do the events in the narrative reflect concerns in contemporary society?
  • In what sense are the women of Gilead powerless (and in what sense powerful)?

Format

Papers must be typed, double-spaced, use MLA format, one-inch margins all around, with left-justified text, 12-point Times New Roman font. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will adversely affect your grade.

MLA-formatted template

UNHS Tali Sharot Ted Talk The Optimism Bias Transcript Analysis Presentation

Each student will have the opportunity to analyze a piece of persuasive material and present their findings to the class. Projects will vary in nature but all will entail the student being able to classify the artifact as propaganda or rhetoric, and support their position using the concepts covered in the course. Project will be presented briefly the last four classes of term. Projects not presented and/or submitted on their assigned day will be subject to a 10 point-per-class meeting penalty.

Project Options:

Individual Option 1: Transcript analysis

Select a PERSUASIVE Ted talk from https://www.ted.com (Links to an external site.)and confirm your selection with Professor Michaud before starting on your project (no matter how last-minute! I want you to have something solid to work with).

Your final submitted project will be a discussion of rhetoric in action: how a Ted Talk contributes to public discussion about issues that are important to us as a society. Your final project should address this larger question and include 1) a summary of the talk and provide background on the speaker, the exigence for the subject and purpose of the talk, the constraints associated with the subject, and the findings from your analysis; and 2) a notated transcript of the talk that highlights 2a) the anchors on which the argument hinges; 2b) the emotional, credibility, and logical appeals employed by the rhetor—including any genre-specific appeals to reason; and 2c) stylistic assessments based on Aristotle’s rules of good rhetorical style.

Your 5-6-minute presentation to the class should include elements from your summary as well as to highlight examples from your analysis for the purpose of highlighting rhetoric in action.

Individual Option 2: Analyze a campaign

Select any advertising campaign and confirm it with Professor Michaud. Ideas can be found at AdAge’s top campaigns* (Links to an external site.), also listed below, or other advertising or public relations campaign.

(Your final submitted project will be a persua

Tableau for data science certificate program

USF has launched a Citizen Data Science Certificate program for the undergraduate students at the MUMA college of business. This program is a joint program with Tableau. Please refer to this Tableau presentation (Links to an external site.) or the video (Links to an external site.) to learn more about the program.

Tableau Assignment (i) Use Tableau to analyze a dataset to tell data-driven stories with visualizations, building a dashboard to show your insights. (ii) Create a video that highlights your insights and findings, and post to YouTube as an unlisted video. (iii) Submit the YouTube URL of your video to Canvas.

1. A Tableau dashboard of at least 3 visualizations. Creating the visualizations alone without having them together in one view defeats the purpose of using Tableau.
2. The dashboard should be interactive: clicking on the filters and the visualizations themselves should change the data in the dashboard.
3. The video should be at least 3 minutes.
4. The video should include: a brief introduction (a few seconds), an explanation of the dataset and the assignment (less than a minute), and the rest should be an explanation of multiple insights found while navigating the dashboard.
5. The link should be accessible from the internet, no recorded video files.
6. The video should be recorded from a laptop using video recording software. Phones are not allowed for recording.

For detailed instructions, see the links below on creating dashboards and posting a video.
