A juvenile offender has checked into a facility to get help and she has mentioned to her counselor that she has a court date that she is supposed to testify but she doesn’t want to because she is afraid of the defendant which is her boyfriend. The DA has reached out to the counselor to obtain some information for the case but the counselor isn’t sure if she should. The mother of the child has also reached out obtaining the same information. The question is should the counselor give out the information?
