For your portfolio you will be putting together a formal, technically written proposal from the perspective of a contractor bidding for the contract. The company you will be writing the proposal for wants to expand its network.
Your proposal should include the following:
- An introduction – this should include an overview of what your proposal is going to include regarding suggested solutions to multiple technology issues. Preface the document with a 3- to 4-page statement that summarizes and explains the purposes of the proposals.
- Each of the proposals you are including should be given a heading (for example, “Network Recommendations”). Be sure to pull the “References” sections out of the individual proposals and compile them all at the very end in a SINGLE references section. (Include only references that have been cited within the proposal itself.) Be sure to double check the formatting of that final reference section – it will need to be in order per APA guidelines
The document will provide a complete network solution that covers the following:
- Topology
- Media
- Network devices
- IP infrastructure
- WAN considerations
- Network security
- Documentation
- Suggested network monitoring and optimization practices
4. At the end of the compilation, include a conclusion that parallels the introduction.
