As part of the corporate business continuity strategy, you, as a senior tech support specialist, have been tasked to analyze and define configurations for desktop and laptop acquisition to support remote and teleworking for several employees of the organization. These configurations must include private connectivity and security software tools as part of the software solutions to be implemented on the server and client sides. These configurations must include options for Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS-based options, as well as MAC.
Instructions:
For this assignment, you must write a report to your supervisor suggesting computer hardware specifications, operating system versions, and essential tools that will support daily productivity, private remote connections, and web browsing. Do not select a complete computer system that is available in the market.
Your report should identify and explain the rationale you used to select each of the following:
- Operating Systems
- Software Applications
- Virtual private connection and security solutions (tokens, smartcards, push-duo keyword or number, firewalls, etc)
- Hardware (Processor, CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Hard Drive, Monitor, Network adapter, and Ports)
- Configuration for Internet Connectivity to support virtual meetings and collaboration tools
Length: 7-10 pages with original diagrams, not including title and reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
