“Excuse me, sir, but I think you are in my seat,” I said.
“No, this is my seat,” he replied.
“My ticket says 32 B, and you are in 32 B.”
“I guess the airline made a mistake and assigned us both to 32 B. Since I was here first, I will stay in the seat.”
“I requested 32 B and booked it many months ago, sir.”
“I don’t want to argue with you.”
“Neither do I, but sir, look at my ticket, you can clearly see it says 32 B.”
“Why don’t you just take the seat next to me?”
“If it was a shorter flight, I might do that, but this is a long flight, and I requested a window seat.”
“Same for me. Let’s not argue. I’ll buy you a drink. Okay/“
“I’m sorry, but you are in my seat, and I don’t want a drink, no offence, sir.”
“I’m not moving, so sit down.”
“I will get a flight attendant.”
“I wouldn’t do that.”
“Why not? She can settle our dispute.”
“If you value your health you will do as I say.”
“Are you threatening me?”
“I am getting bored by our conversation. Sit down. Now!”
“Okay, but this isn’t over.”
“Oh yes it is.”t
