Choose a short story from the reader, The Norton Introduction to Literature, (NOT one of the 5 we have already read) and analyze this story in a 3-5 page paper. You may choose the story you used in the Short Story Analysis Questions Assignment. Be sure to narrow your focus to only one of the different ways of looking at the piece of literature. You are to use no outside sources in this essay, just the story itself. You should format this essay in MLA format, and provide a works cited page that lists the story.
Point to include:
>Engages reader’s attention.  Strong, assertive stance.   Gives title of story and author.  Key points are presented in thesis.  Has individual and creative slant
>Key points developed with details and examples from text.   Refers to thesis concepts. Reflects authorial stance
>Summarizes key points made in essay. Restates thesis concept in different words.  Provides a sense of closure and unification.
>Uses in-text citations accurately after examples from text.   Provides Work Cited list with accurate citation(s).
>Free of errors in punctuation, spelling, grammar, and sentence structure
