Phase 1: Redo all the steps in lecture 12 for the NEW condition stated above. The calculated
condenser load and ERPM will be used in phase 2.
Phase 2: Design a radiator plus accessories for this car in the light of the “Radiator Design
Road Map” as illustrated in your reference book. You should analyze and discuss your results
with justified comments and present your results and analyses in two “Radiator Signatures”
format. Instructions :
1. The problem in phase two must be solved step-by-step and in sequence by following the
“Radiator Design Road Map” described in your course book “Design and Development of
AutomotiveEngine Cooling Systems”
2. Clearly explain the assumptions made (if any) with their justified validity
3. Workout all the steps, write down all the relevant equations in each step with their
variables and parameters identified/clarified, show your detailed calculations, clearly refer
the tables and figures with their page numbers those are used in your design.
5. In the result and discussion section, present your design model and analytical results with
all the parametric values in the form of “Radiator Signature and comment on your results
and problem given.
6. In addition to your assigned course book, you can use any other resources of your interest
and relevance. In such case, you must clearly refer that in your report in proper place and also
in the reference section including source, issue/volume, publication, year, page number etc.
