As already mentioned, there is great concern about the increase in the cost of studies each year; this simple a significant disadvantage for specific sectors of our society and fewer opportunities for improvement to reach a higher educational level in this country. It becomes more accessible and advantageous if physical therapy assistant courses remain associated for two years and a six-month program during the class period to attempt board exams and state legal exams. I support keeping the PTAs as associates and having the possibility that they will be allowed to study directly for a doctor in physical therapy later on. But, first, the student should be an associate in physical therapy assistant instead of 2 years and a six-month course to finish for three years. These would eliminate the bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, and it would take only four years to obtain a doctorate in physical therapy.
